Why Anodyne?

Many people live with both chronic pain and mental health symptoms, especially when symptoms continue despite standard care.

At Anodyne , we provide access to advanced, evidence-aligned treatments, including ketamine therapy and stellate ganglion block (SGB), which may be suitable for some people after a specialist assessment. Care is provided within a structured model that focuses on safety, individual suitability, and coordination with your existing healthcare providers.

Our approach includes:

  1. Advanced, Evidence-Based Treatments
  2. Clinical Expertise across Psychiatry and Pain Medicine
  3. Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Approach

Ketamine Therapy

An evidence-based treatment option that may be considered for selected mental health and pain conditions, following specialist assessment. Ketamine may be considered for people who continue to experience symptoms despite standard treatment options, following comprehensive assessment.

Ketamine therapy is thought to act on pathways involved in pain processing and mood regulation. It may be considered within a structured plan, including where opioid reduction is clinically indicated. At our Brisbane location, we provide outpatient ketamine treatment options in a monitored clinical setting, guided by specialist expertise.

Stellate ganglion block

A stellate ganglion block (SGB) is a precise injection of local anaesthetic placed near sympathetic nerves in the neck that help regulate the body’s stress response. By calming heightened activity in this nerve network, SGB may be considered for selected individuals with PTSD (including PTSD-related symptoms) and certain pain presentations, including CRPS and specific neuropathic (nerve) pain conditions.

SGB is delivered in a monitored clinical setting after specialist assessment and screening for suitability. Response can vary, and in some cases a course of blocks may be recommended as part of a broader, evidence-aligned treatment plan.
